Small Stories That Lift Your Mood
A chance evening
We went for a walk and stumbled on street musicians
We had gone out for milk. We came home two hours later, without the milk, feeling as if we had been away for a week.

A ride for the soul
A bike ride at sunset: a mini-journey
By the second hill I had stopped checking the time. By the sunset I had forgotten which day it was, which was rather the point.

A Sunday for yourself: coffee, books and the water
Coffee, a second-hand paperback and an hour beside the water. Nobody needed anything from me, and I needed nothing else.

What Readers Say
The Portugal route helped me plan the whole trip in a single evening. I changed two days and booked everything before bed.
I went looking for flight tips and stayed for the Moments stories. The one about the Sunday bookshop sent me out of the door.
Honest about what to skip, which is rare. Our week in Bali was calmer and cheaper because of it.
The packing list is the first one I have actually followed. Cabin bag only, for a week, and I did not miss a thing.
FAQ's
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers before you set off.
How do I use the routes?
Each route gives you a day-by-day plan with distances, transport and a rough budget. Read it through once, save the days you like, then use our route template to make it yours. We always say what you can safely leave out.
Can I change a route to suit me?
Please do. Our routes are starting points rather than timetables. Most include a shorter or slower version, and you can swap days, add rest stops or stay longer wherever you are happy. Just check opening days and transport times before you travel.
How often do you publish new articles?
A new guide goes up every week, usually with a short Moments story in between. Existing guides are reviewed each season, and the date on an article tells you when it first appeared.
How can I suggest a topic or work with you?
Use the contact form and choose the subject that fits. We read everything, reply within three working days and would love to hear from writers and photographers who want to join the team. We do not publish paid placements in our text.
