2. Information only

Our guides, routes and tips are general information based on our own experience and research. They are not professional advice, and they do not replace official guidance on entry rules, health, safety, insurance or driving.

Prices, opening hours, timetables and rules change, and costs we quote are rough estimates at the time of writing. Please check the details that matter to you with official sources and service providers before you rely on them. You are responsible for your own travel decisions, for your own safety and for having suitable insurance and documents.

3. We do not sell travel

We do not sell or arrange tours, flights, accommodation or insurance through this site. Any arrangement you make with a third party is between you and that party.

4. Using our content

The text, design, logo and original graphics on this site belong to us or to our licensors, and some photographs are used under licence. You may read, print and share links to our pages for personal, non-commercial use, and you may use our checklists and templates for your own trips. You may not republish, sell or systematically copy our content, or use it to train automated systems, without our written permission.

5. Comments and messages

You can send us comments on our stories. Every comment is checked by a person before it appears, and we may edit it for length or clarity, decline it or remove it later. By submitting a comment you confirm that it is your own, and you give us a free, non-exclusive licence to publish it on this site alongside the name you provide.

Please do not submit anything that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, misleading, promotional, or that contains somebody else's personal data or copyrighted work.

6. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the site: for example by trying to gain unauthorised access to it or to data stored on it, by introducing malicious code, by sending automated submissions through its forms, or by interfering with other people's use of it.
